Saint Vincent De Paul Stage 3

Client: Paynter Dixon Constructions Pty Ltd

Principal: Northern Group

Contract Superintendant: Stephen Wafer (Project Manager)

Date: Jan 2011- march 2011

Project Description

Overall site works at Saint Vincent De Paul Lewisham involve the demolition and removal of existing concrete surfaces, retaining walls, redundant underground services, vegetation and protection of heritage items. In this case the perimeter walls and Marion Building wing were both items which need to be protected during the works.

At completion of clearing works, new bitumen driveways, concrete kerbs, stormwater drainage and landscaping were reinstated to complete the external works upgrade of Saint Vincent De Paul’s external driveways and gardens

Northern Group provided plant, equipment and supervision for the duration of works, managing all site works on behalf of the client.

A combination of 12t-8t excavators and 5t ASV loaders were used for the excavation work and installation of DGB20 and DGS40 pavement bases.

Site clearing of existing tree’s required that all trees be felled with the use of tree loppers in scissor booms only, due to the preferred client safety methodology and proximity to overhead wires and heritage items.

The project was delivered on time, budget and the satisfaction of the client. All heritage items were protected and no injuries or near misses sustained during the project
